Jean-Claude sighs, half in exasperation, and half in amusement. Exasperation because this is important to him and to Asher, and Anita isn't treating it as such. And amusement because, well, it was rare to see the normally unflappable necromancer struck so utterly and caught in it besides.

"It is what I feared Asher," he says, turning to the other vampire. "She is completely entranced by you. If we cannot break her from it, she will be useless tonight." He finishes the statement by flicking his head to the side, just enough so that Anita can catch the wink he tosses her.
